Go Once More

Go Once More

2017 was the year I first started game development. I was a senior in high school with a mostly free schedule and I was given a book on developing Unity games by my brother. I had never really done any big coding projects before (and I had wanted something to show off to college recruiters) so I figured I'd give it a shot. From there, I have had an on-again/off-again relationship with Unity and game making.

Go Once More has been the magnum opus I have tried to create several times over the years. Although many things have changed in my ideas for it, it has been a multiplayer game focused on creating fantastic moments friends can look back on fondly. It is a 2D topdown roguelite dungeon crawler that rewards player decisions and trade-off cost analysis.

Set in a medieval fantasy world, Go Once More takes place after the Demon Lord has been defeated by the heroes, never again to threaten the world. However, his generals have not yet been vanquished. These dangerous beings have been causing chaos throughout the kingdom and adventurers everywhere have been given quests to take them down. Well, promises of riches and fame are attractive to everyone, no?

Head out with your friends to fight monsters and demons, from sorcerors to minotaurs, slimes to dragons and everything in between. Will a single defeat be enough to take you out or will you have the fortitude to Go Once More, as many times as it takes to attain glory?

More information to come.
